Retreats with Urban Monastics

Retreats with Urban Monastics

We go on retreat to give us space to pray, rest, reflect, meditate, and grow. Retreats are acts of faith. With hope and expectation, we step away from the demands and rhythms of our regular life. Each time, our hope weaves itself within the love we have for God as we take time to pursue Him. In faith, we trust God will honor the sacrifices made to take our retreat.

Every Urban Monastic retreat is prayerfully curated and designed. They help us be more present with ourselves and our God. Prayer is the foundation of our retreats. Each one is structured around the Divine Office and includes periods of silence. These are times for further prayer, rest, reflection, and learning. Each retreat includes its own printed book as a companion for your time away. We hope that you can join us soon.

Urban Monastic Retreats are open to everyone.

Local Day Retreats

Set aside a day to devote yourself fully to prayer. Step outside your normal rhythms, slow down, and pray with others in your city. You will receive everything you need to enjoy God’s presence and to explore different ways to pray. Together we will pray the Divine Office, partake in the Eucharist, and share a midday meal. The rest of your day lets you choose from a variety of silent prayer practices we’ve prepared for you.
